We wasted no time in getting our tree this year! The day after Thanksgiving we went out and bought a live, flocked tree. We have always preferred a live tree in its natural green state, so this will be the first flocked tree we’ve had in awhile.
The last couple years our tree would dry out well before Christmas, so I’m hoping with our tree being flocked this year, it will last longer. Another plus to having a flocked tree is that there’s no worry about needles getting everywhere (although the flock can get a bit messy).
I tried going with a gold theme, but because I’m very sentimental about ornaments that we’ve collected over the years, there was no way I was going to successfully pull off any kind of color scheme.
I love these Kurt Adler icicles ornaments though. I think I want to add at least few dozen more, haha!
